I haven't tried this particular version, but it looks to be very similar to a product that was sold at Teavana as the "Perfect Teamaker" (also called the Brew & Touch at one point, I think) when I used to work there years ago. The version I bought there back in 2004 or 2005 is still going strong. I have a 16 oz, plus a 32 oz version I use to make iced tea, and I love them. Not as picturesque as a traditional teapot, but a lot more convenient. :)
Sounds great! We don't have "Teavana" here, but we have something very similar called "Teaopia" in the local mall. I haven't been there for awhile, so maybe I'll check them out and see if they have either this one or something similar.
I have had one for several years. It is very sturdy and convenient. Sometimes around the winter holidays adagio.com has them packaged up with tea samples.
Yes, I thought it looked sturdy and well-made. All I have for loose tea right now is your basic tea ball, and it's a bit of a fiddle to use. Therefore, I normally stick to teabags (I know - *shudder*).
I'd love to make the switch to loose tea, and this looks like an excellent option. Once I'm gainfully employed again, I'll seek one out.
