Do you drink it with sugar or honey, or do you drink it straight? (In the U.S., we say someone drinks tea or coffee black, but "straight" makes more sense to us.) We usually drink teas with sugar because we don't like the bitter taste. If we're drinking a fruity herbal tea, we can drink it straight because it has a tart flavor.

Straight -- the bitterness can be nice too. It's also an easy way to cut down on my sugar consumption.

Straight, all the way! Except occasionally in winter I will make myself a cup of intensely strong, opaque-black chai and then dump sweetened condensed milk into it till it's a sort of tan colour. :)

I drink hot black tea with lots of milk, no sweetener. Greens or whites I drink unadulterated. Herbals, depends on what else is in them; rooibos, depends on what else is in them. Iced anything I drink unadulterated.

Depends on the kind of tea for me. I’m in the UK so the kind of ubiquitous tea here (English Breakfast etc) I drink strong with lots of milk. But any of the specialist teas from Earl Grey and Darjeeling to Oolongs and Green teas that I drink need to be drunk ‘straight’ because I’m drinking them specifically for their natural flavours so I don’t want to interfere with that. Having said that, I also enjoy tea ‘lattes’ which get made with lots of foamed milk and a little vanilla syrup but that’s a whole different experience, like a hug in a mug - though I file that experience with hot chocolate rather than tea?

It depends, but I've stopped putting sugar in basically any tea I make at home.

All black teas like Chai or Earl grey get half and half in them.

Green tea is straight if it's iced, but if it's hot it's 50/50 whether or not I'll but half and half in it.

Chamomile is 50/50 whether or not I'll put half and half in it.
